Some final thoughts and reflections

In selecting the Village Italy tour we hoped to have a trip that would allow us the opportunity to break away from the confines of the pandemic. We were looking for new adventures filled with awe inspiring discoveries along with a greater appreciation of the Italian lifestyle and culture. Our Village Italy journey did not disappoint.
What we didn't expect was in taking time daily to slow down during our adventure to just reflect and appreciate the simple joy and pleasure of friends, good food and drink, and beautiful surroundings was so meaningful and fulfilling. It was a life lesson of La Dolce Vita to take home with us.
The Village Italy tour was truly a lifetime experience.

A special thank you to our guide, Tricia, for taking us on this wonderful Italian journey. Her attention to all of the details, sharing her wealth of knowledge, and accommodating individual concerns to insure we could all have the best possible tour.
To the entire RSE staff, thank you for adjusting policies and establishing reasonable protocol in attempt to provide a safer option in group travel as Covid lingered on. The patience with cancellations and the efforts to accommodate the concerns of travelers, encouraged two couples to book this tour, and therefore played a part in fate to reconnect two old friends.
While our experience was unique and phenomenal in itself, it allowed the four of us to have a lifetime adventure full of amazing new experiences, shared memories, tears of laughter, and for the two college roommates....one final adventure together.

So why do we travel? There may be as many reasons as the number of travelers themselves, but there is one reason that binds us all. We travel now because we still can.

Sadly, Laura’s courageous battle with cancer came to an end late last year. As an avid traveler and lifelong learner, she found joy and fulfillment in her many adventures. She was truly an inspiration for those around her, and she will never be forgotten. We travel because we can and Laura will continue to travel with us in our hearts.
